Radio RaBe Broadcasts 2026
As part of the media partnership with Radio RaBe, a series of five podcasts was produced during the 2026 edition, serving as a record of this collaboration and documenting the festival. Over the course of the festival, conversations and encounters coalesced into episodes that depicted more than just the main themes, they opened up spaces for reflection and exchange with artists, the aua team, and the audience both on-site and listening on the radio.
Some episodes focused on mental health in both adulthood and childhood, on speaking openly about these issues, and on the often quiet, repressed facets of mental health in both artistic and everyday contexts. Another episode delved into the immersive worlds of virtual reality and explored its potential and how it is perceived. A third episode focused on the “revolution on a small scale”: those inconspicuous, everyday acts of resistance and change that operate behind the scenes or in daily life yet can bring about significant change. Finally, a concluding discussion on the last Sunday of the festival shed light on the complex dynamics that arise when artists from South America and other continents are invited to Europe, navigating the tension between structural inequality and cultural dialogue.
